So this break up might be hard just as most long term relationships are but it is very necessary. The issue with being Just About Average is that its so easy to let the simple habits like hitting the Snooze button to pull you Just Below Average and thats not a life I’m happy to settle for. If I was to create a name for the list of people the Snooze button inventor had in mind when creating this service, it would be that – Just About Average. I now fully understand that by continuing this relationship I am making a subtle agreement with myself to settle for just about average. I repeated this process a couple of times before finally rolling out of bed feeling light years from how I did last night when putting all my plans in place. What seemed like 2mins later my alarm went off again. As is my nature, I reached for the Snooze button telling myself that I had already left a margin of 15mins between now and my real wake up time. I fall asleep shortly after Match Of The Day and was woken up by my alarm after what felt like only 2 hours sleep. So in order to avoid this dreadful experience that has started to become the norm, I am getting everything ready and setting my alarm 15mins earlier than my required wake up time. ![]() I fill the time admiring the different styles of brake lights in front of me wondering what the drivers behind think of mine. Anytime after this, then I can surely expect another 30mins added to my journey spent in traffic. My journey to work normally takes about 35mins but only if I leave my house at a certain hour. In order to get the ball rolling I must get better at leaving the house on time. She also loves to sleep, hates to be waken up, and considers mankind’s greatest invention to be the snooze button on her alarm clock. It’s Sunday evening, last day of the weekend and I am committed to having a great start to the week. ![]()
